Storm crashed, all settings reset

I was using blackberry app world on my storm 9530, and got a white screen with some sort of error. I had to take the berry output to reboot my blackberry, and all of my settings/contacts got reset. I haven't had a backup in a long time... but even after my backup, I still only have 12mb application memory. I had at least 20mb application before it crashed.

Any chance my settings are being stored somewhere on my phone or something and weren't really erased?

It asks to overwrite the current settings when you install them to your phone so probably not.
