has anyone sucsessfuly swapped the radio from the 5.0.0.230.. to any of the newest builds this service im getting in signal quality sucks .. im using lyricals newest hybrid .. ive done the *228 thing .. just tryn to get the 3g symol back and hsve better reception .. and yes before i get flamed i know the 3g icon is just an icon no added support .. but 230 had the strongest signal in my honest opinion for instance is it posable to do a hybrid using the 230 as a base and replacing java

Unfortunately it doesn't seem that the .230 radio is compatible with the newer java files, meaning it won't work. And unfortunately, there is no way to get the 3G symbol back without downgrading to .230.
