Default OTA OS upgrade not working

Hey guys. Hope you can help. I am runnign on 4.7.0.132, which I got from following an email ling from RIM. Now, I know that .148 is out, and there is rumor of another on the way (no yelling at me!!! lol!) I went to "wireless update" to get .148 and it is telling me there is no update available. Anyone have any clue or any suggestions other that trying through DM? Thanks!

why are you on .132? You should at least be on .148 already. You can update several different ways. The easiest would be to download the OS you want and run the Loader.exe to get it on your storm

use this method to update your OS

go to BlackBerry® Software Updates and you can download the file for the OS then just load it through the App Loader in BBDM

OTA upgrade has a pretty low success rate. I know it's worked for some, and not worked for many more than that. If I had to guess, it's probably not recognizing an update because you are on a leaked OS (just guessing). Like the guys above me said, the best way to go is through DM. May I ask why you don't want to use Desktop Manager?

I am a Mac user, and really dislike using my husband's Vista machine. I have been waiting for RIM to release the Mac DM, but September has come and gone with no luck (I know, big shock). It would have just been a lot easier for me to do the OTA than fumbling through it on the PC. If the email for the .148 I have now came from RIM, is it still a leaked version?

Nice! I signed up but didn't get the e-mail. I'll have to grab it when I get home from work. How is it?
