With .109, Storm still has huge issues
I have resisted upgrading my Storm OS (I've had mine since launch day) because I didn't want to void my warranty. However, RIM and Verizon have been so slack about releasing any fixes that I finally couldn't take it anymore so I upgraded to .109 yesterday- up from the .75 I had been running since the last approved release in late November [if I remember right].
My biggest complaint with the phone all this time was the rebooting. CONSTANT rebooting. It reboots a dozen or more times a day. Even if I'm not touching it- it can sit on my desk for an hour and it might reboot 3 times during that time.
So .109 makes the phone faster. Apps run better. The accelerometer is far more responsive. The QWERTY keyboard in portrait mode is sweet.
They didn't do diddley to fix the reboots though. It still reboots all the time. This is third Storm I've had, and all have done the same thing.
I'm really disappointed in RIM with this thing. They rushed it to market, and it just wasn't ready.
I think I'll just switch back to my Curve. This phone is a good concept, RIM has just failed to put together a product capable of executing the vision...
