Default With .109, Storm still has huge issues

I have resisted upgrading my Storm OS (I've had mine since launch day) because I didn't want to void my warranty. However, RIM and Verizon have been so slack about releasing any fixes that I finally couldn't take it anymore so I upgraded to .109 yesterday- up from the .75 I had been running since the last approved release in late November [if I remember right].

My biggest complaint with the phone all this time was the rebooting. CONSTANT rebooting. It reboots a dozen or more times a day. Even if I'm not touching it- it can sit on my desk for an hour and it might reboot 3 times during that time.

So .109 makes the phone faster. Apps run better. The accelerometer is far more responsive. The QWERTY keyboard in portrait mode is sweet.

They didn't do diddley to fix the reboots though. It still reboots all the time. This is third Storm I've had, and all have done the same thing.

I'm really disappointed in RIM with this thing. They rushed it to market, and it just wasn't ready.

I think I'll just switch back to my Curve. This phone is a good concept, RIM has just failed to put together a product capable of executing the vision...

I had been using .75 until yesterday when I upgraded. Much faster, huge memory increase (23 to 35 gigs even with Epocrates running), no freezes, faster accelerometer. Looking back it was silly of me not to upgrade sooner. I use a Mac for syncing (MS v1) but Boot Camp for DM upgrades.
This is my first upgrade ever and went without a hitch. I want to thank you all for providing such detailed informaiton.

Excuse me to all for my bad English..
My little story...I've a 9500..
Start with 4.7.0.75
Upgrade at 4.7.0.114
Fix the keyboard bug. Very good the 3G signal but I was not very happy becouse GoogleMap didn't start and the rotation of the screen was very very very slow.
I tried to pull out the battery one or two times.. And.. ERROR! The system didn't start ever.
Downgrade to the 4.7.0.78, "nearly" all ok.. But I had 1 system error at a reeboot and I had a poor 3G signal (in the same place)
Now I've upgradeted to 4.7.0.109 and I'm testing it.. First impression is OK but the 3G signal not so good and when I've a page with a blank background the white flashing, the intensity of the light is unstable.

Return your storm. The rebooting is not a software problem, it's a hardware defect. My first storm did the same. The 2nd did too. the 3rd one's screen flickered. now my 4th one reboots after a small amount of pressure applied to the right side.

Not waiting for my 5th one. Don't tolerate RIM's defective hardware. Demand a 100% functional device and take advantage of the warranty while you have it.
