Anyone else having this problem and have a fix for it?
Mine shows the clock, however it is not frozen and I receive messages.

I have been running .99 for over a week and have for some reason 3 days in a row gotten an App Error 523 that locks and resets the phone. This is unacceptable. I will be checking out which applications I have installed tonight to see if any of them are causing the problem.

Still running strong, but by the end of the day I have to pull battery cuz it drops from 42MB to 29MB. So there is leakage but everything is a lot faster.

Thumbs up .99 is Soooo Sweet

I didn't experience anything like the other forum users said.

My browser was there (fast and snappy too). Camera is instant now. Browser is almost instant when going to a page like CNN.

Keyboard is fine (size is fine with me). Accelerometer is MUCH better. There is still room for improvement, but it's nearly there .

The camera functionality and browser snappiness is what I noticed and liked the most. Fades and transitions are nice too.

I'm very happy overall.

I have updated to .85 but downgraded after being unsuccessful in removing the Java Exception error code. So wiped the handheld and just returned it back. Just upgraded from .75 OS to give the leaked OSes another try. Here are my findings:

Pros:
-Boot time is quicker
-Camera bar is now transparent so your able to view the full picture you are taking instead of guessing.
-Media seems to load quicker then before. (Was painful on .75)

Cons
-Aim was not functioning (froze up when received alerts or hit the menu key) I went to the application center and reinstalled it (noticed that i had version 2.2.27 but the center had 2.2.22) Re-installed and works perfect now.

Everything else seems to be in working order. I will most likely keep it running on .99 OS.

For instance, when you do a fresh install of the OS, You'll initially have the two "Welcome" messages from Verizon or whomever it is, in the messages box, but it wont show up under any other mailbox.

To show all folders, just click your menu button, and choose "Show All".

That's the only thing I can think of...

Good luck!
I thought of that... still nothing there... it went away when i did a battery pull... still i had never seen it have a notification hang like that. wondering if this has happened to anyone else

So far I am absolutely loving this OS. I upgraded from the official .75 straight to .99 and I am loving it all around. The keyboard is flawless, I typed as fast as I could like I used to on my enV and the auto correct feature kicked in and I didn't notice any errors. I type faster on my storm than I do on my laptop now. The boot time was extremely fast compared to my old OS, I now don't mind doing a battery pull. So far no cons, I've only been running this OS for an hour. RIM is definitely doing much better with the Storm and I'm happy to see where it is headed in the long run.

It varies from peson to person depending on how anal you are about the loss of memory and what/how many third party apps you have installed. For me it's every couple days on a stable build, more if I am on one that crashes/locks up

I downloaded .99 about a week ago. Everything was fine until two days ago. Since then, I have at least two to three freezes per day requiring batt pull. Any suggestions?

Been running .99 for a few days now with no problems. I see no reason yet to upgrade to .109

When i'm listening to music on my storm, while the next song is supposed to start I have to press the volume button up or down to hear the song play. it doesn't happen all the time ,but it does happen often .
