Thanks for the reviews...I'll have to wait till after work to load this. Really hoped to hear about an in-call screen lock but I guess I'll just have to be patient, lol

There is a post on here where someone put a few high quality video movie previews. The one for Speed racer looked great- but it was VERY jumpy. After the update on .83 it's a huge difference. No jumps or pauses- all smooth.

You guys think this update is the second of two updates Verizon is suppose to release this month? If it is then it probably is likely that the official .83 will come in about a week just like the .75. Well keep posting guys and let us know if it's worth updating.

WooHoo! My first JL_Cmder wipe and new OS instal and it worked perfectly! (previously upgrade to .76 was ontop of .65).
Several things I've noticed besides the incerased speed:
Pluses:
1. The Ringer setting: Vibrate Only NOW WORKS!!! At least with one custom ringtone that I tested, it vibrated like it should and it didn't ring through.
2. When I use speed dial and my bluetooth, everything now stays connected. Previously, when I used speedial my bluetooth disconnected...
3. As someone else mentioned, when the phone is locked, pressing the screen no longer makes it turn on! Only the hard keys make it turn on (and of course only the lock/unlock key unlocks it).

Bummers:
1. I still can't get the ringtone to come through the wired headset. Anybody figure out a way to make that happen? Music will pause, but the rintone if from the phone's speakers and not through the headset....
2. As people of mentioned, you can no longer change to vibrate by pressing the mute button while locked (not a biggie for me.)
3. The pictures in the media player still take forever (OK, 4-5 seconds) to rotate from landscape to portrait and back. It is very fast if you zoom in at all, so why is it so slow when zoomed out?

Overall, definitely worth the upgrade...

Hey, Doc, did the audio on your bluetooth work before when playing video?
I've heard some people mention having that problem from the beginning. I don't have that issue right now at all, I use Motorola S9-HD when I'm watching movies all the time and would hate to lose that capability. Seems a little wrong to have that stop working...
I think I'll have to try it myself and report back.

Hmm... I wiped the phone ( I DID back up my device) and installed .83 and it worked fine except I am missing a lot of things: all my apps, the app center, browser, and some others.

I thought it the video posted, the change from portrait to landscape and back was where my Storm was on the leaked .75

Since I loaded .83 my landscape to portrait and back is just about instant when not on homescreen. On the home screen its the same as before I updated.

I definitely notice a huge difference in the browser, camera, and media player. Overall the phone seems to respond pretty quickly to my typing and selections. Definitely worth the upgrade IMO.
