No SMS???

A buddy of mine also has a Storm 1 and lost his SMS icon and the ability to send/receive txts this weekend. Doesn't even get notification of txts. Checked in "Messages" and still nothing. Clicked "show all" in icon options menu...still nothing. It seems all traces of txting have mysteriously disappeared from his Storm! Any help???

Did he try resending service books?
Options>Advanced Options>Host Routing table.....hit BB button and click Register Now.
