Default New OS giving me "No circuit/channel available"

So I tried searching for an answer and haven't found a fix for this yet. Anybody have any info? Ever since I updated it to the 5.0 I can't receive or make any calls, but EVERYTHING else works. (SMS, MMS, Internet, Apps, etc.) I am using T-mo.

Works for some t mobile users not others. You have to remember it's a Verizon release so it might not work for you until you get an official release.

Hey ctg144. Its not just you. It seems like many of us tmobile users are stuck with this problem. It started with the 5.0.0.191 OS and hasnt been fixed since. I am pretty sure the guide to setting up the storm on tmobiles network guide will not help you much as the guide is to enable mms and internet among other things, but not the phone. All we can do is hope for RIM to fix this problem in their next release.

    Hi,

I had the same problem on my unlocked storm used with T-mobile. I started having this problem since I upgraded to OS 5.0. I spent two weeks trying to figure out how to fix the problem, but I was not able to do so. I contacted Blackberry support, RIM support, T-mobile and none of them were able to help me with my problem. So, I had not other option but to downgrade my OS to 4.7. After I downgraded my phone started working fine. If you wan to downgrade please follow the following steps.

    1. Open Desktop Manager

    2. Plug your blackberry to your computer

    3. log to the following webpage //na.blackberry.com/eng/update/

    4. click on check for updates icon

    5. Now you have the options to choose from (I downgraded to 4.7 and it works fine)

After those steps just follow the simple instructions.

I hope this helps you out.
