can see people asking for any differences I upgraded from .167 to .173 and see little changes so far have had only had on phone for 48 hrs or so on da weekend hasnt really seen hard use but i can say that id dont see a real big difference in start up speed or browser speed but general navigation through phone seems faster but that could just be me and for the memory freaks out there im up to a steady 43 to 45mb with same apps i was running before and it had round 37 to 39mb max ever so im happy with that.

I installed this yesterday, and all seemed to go fine; however, my Storm 9500 is now telling me I have 3 unread messages which aren't showing up anywhere (I have my Blackberry email, a couple of Yahoo email filters, and texts sent to it)...?
Edit: it seems to be my Blackberry email address that isn't showing my new messages; I just got another one and I can't see ANY new messages since I installed this OS. Any thoughts...?

Use default theme only as .173's not 3rd Party theme compatible.

Sorted it; did a battery pull and the messages are there now. I just tested this by sending an email to it, and it showed up no problems. Using default theme already. One thing I have noticed is that I don't seem to get any alert sounds or the notification red light. I've checked the settings for the alert, and it should be working fine.

I'm having some of the same problems. I'm running the default them I just changed around the look of some things around on plazmic. but at first i recieved emails now i cant even get them and I only get notifications (sound/vibrate and LED) for my calls and IM clients. Not on emails not on SMS/ MMS Messages. Facebook doesnt even have a section in Sounds App and nothing comes through for notifications and missed calls wont show up in message app and I do have it set to show all calls . . .

Same problem for me - the link doesnt work. If I look at the A1 site the highest version that can now be downloaded is 4.7.0.141.
