Default Most recent OS supported by Verizon?

Getting ready to sell my phone to a friend after leaving Verizon, but I need to return it to the most current supported operating system so that I'm not selling a headache along with the phone (beta OS might be fine for me to play with, but the person I'm selling it to would never know what to do with it...). Can someone please clue me in as to which OS version is the supported one right now since its been so long since I've been using beta OS that the last "supported" OS for me was 4.5.075...

Thanks,
Greg

PS: Any other tips I could use to help make the phone ready for its new owner would be much appreciated. Thanks again.

I believe 5.0.0.328 is the last official Verizon OS. If you search this forum, you should be able to find a link. I would suggest doing a "security wipe" (options>security options>security wipe) which should remove all your personal info from the phone and give your friend a fresh start.

Zelmo is right. 5.0.0.328 is the latest Storm OS VZW supports. Why does it have to have the latest "supported" OS? 5.0.0.419 is a much better option.

Thanks for the quick responses from all. It has to be a supported version because Verizon won't give any technical support unless their supported OS is installed on the phone. My friend is not as tech-savvy as I am, so, while I may agree that .328 is not the best version, its the version that will let him get help from verizon if something is not working correctly.

You won't find a "great" official Verizon OS for Storm or Storm2. They all suck.
