No clue. There's nothing other than Storm Lock on there. I'm going to go ahead and start a separate thread on this and see if anyone has any feedback. Thanks for your help, markdental!

Yes, it is a normal part of the OS. If you have a password enabled, then you will be forced to enable a security timeout, after which point the phone will automatically lock. The longest security timeout duration is 1 hour. You can change it under Options >> Password, but you cannot disable the security timeout without disabling the password, it seems.

Ah! So am I seriously the only person out there with a password who uses QP? I figured all BB users would password protect their phone- or maybe I am just paranoid about others tapping into my email and such.

Thanks for the feedback, I will have to make some decisions. I did post another thread on this anyhow before I saw this post, so we'll see what I get there. Thanks again!

Maybe I am going insane.
If you have a password set on the phone it will auto-lock after a set period of time, to keep it from locking you have to remove the password. Go to Options> Password and disable it and it shouldn't lock anymore.

Some people are required by IT policy to have a password lock, so you can't possibly be the only one.

Ahh. Didn't think of password lock. Mostly because I don't use it.
