im having a couple of problems.

I installed the OS, no problem there.

But it didnt install documents to go, blackberry maps and some languages I want.
SO I tried to install them with DM 6.0. But when I try to load the alx files it says they're not compatible.

I don't get it at all.

Can someone help me with this?
thx

Just dl'd it... gonna install next week... gonna watch this thread for pros and cons.

Running .841hybrid now and like it, so not sure why I should upgrade...

**************************WAIT****************

Is this for 9500 ONLY????????????????? I'm reading AndyR83's tutorial on OS installs
about the radio files being specific for one model. And the file name shows 9500 in it.

I have the Storm 9530. I looked during the download and it doesn't specify 9500 or 9530... just Storm or Storm 2...

SO, I will wait for a little more clarification before I install.

fireproof69, if you're using 9530, there's an official os 5.0.0.1041 for you. Just look for it.

Downloaded and installed yesterday. Previously had the .841 platform. Runs smooth. No problems with install. No real notable improvements. Updates are always the best way to go though IMO! :-)

well I installed yesterday.
Originally I had some issues with the transitions sticking, but after a few battery pulls and having the Os settle its running smooth.

Phone is really quick and responsive!
The keyboard is the quickest yet.
No issues with phone calls.
Available app mem increased with 13MB

Everything seems to have come together nicely.

Thats funny, as my version was buggy, my browser was super slow, and the internet kept cutting off.

anyway you must be the only person that i know of that has not had a problem with that version, good for you dude.

the newer update runs much better.

Seriously my device has lost touch stability, I hope this latest leak would solve this issue, but i doubt it. Might have to retire it.
