I'm pretty sure my Storm is completely bricked...
Alright... so I've had an original Storm for a year or so, and never really had any major issues. The last few days the spinning clock started showing up once or twice a day and would not go away. After pulling the battery, the phone would run fine until the next episode.
Finally, on Tuesday the spinning clock showed up for good. I've pulled the battery, I've tried running the phone with the memory card in and out, and the same thing always happens -- the phone boots up and once the Blackberry bar at the bottom has filled completely, the clock shows up, and it just hangs. Sometimes it will get to the Verizon splash screen or even the main operating system screen, but the clock is always there just spinning away. The phone is completely unusable.
I tried to run the Blackberry desktop manager to reinstall the OS, but it was never able to connect. Took it to Verizon, they tried to reinstall the OS, which she claimed she did succesfully, but upon restart the spinning clock problem persisted.
Has anyone had a similar problem? If so, got any fixes? Because otherwise it looks like it's bricked. Only silver lining is that the replacement phone will be a Storm2.
Help.
