Default I'm currently downgrading from .122 to .113

Was very unstable on my 9530 Verizon....got some random lockups and shutoffs.

guess I shouldnt have fixed something that wasnt broken, 113 is one solid OS.

Hope all goes well with the downgrade *fingerscrossed*

Hm. If random lockups and shutoffs were a reason to downgrade, I'd be pulling my hair out with the initial OS because I couldn't downgrade any further. Honestly, random lockups make me feel like I'm running an unapproved OS and there's something very satisfying about that!

I downgraded too. i had really good luck with 113. 122 was all around worse. worse lag, worse memory and really glitchy. i even found 109 better. perhaps i installed something wrong

I installed 122 over 113 last night, had a couple restarts today. Also, have lost the data connection several times. Lost as in, the indicator says 1XEV, but nothing is coming through. Can't get any web pages, Viigo doesn't update, etc. Then I go into manage connections, turn off the radio, wait a few seconds and turn it back on. Suddenly I've got 6 new e-mails, a couple instant messages, and when I go into the web browser it's working again.

I had these same problems with 113 the first time I loaded it. After that I went to BBCrackman's 114 Hybrid V2. Then I went down to 75, up to 113. The second time on 113 it ran great. I'm thinking of going back down to 75 again, then reload 122.

could be the way you loaded it, mine is working great since it came out and wouldn't go back myself.

did you load the whole .122 (9500) or just replace the files for 9530 users as discussed in the forums?

My install is being kinda screwy too, had a few random lockups and a random reboot. Probably gonna downgrade then reupgrade.

there are a quite a few threads that are good info and walk through on wiping with JL commander. I dont have the link right off hand but it will be an easy find. instructions are very up front i used them on my first walk through and went very very easy. i dont want to be one of those ones that say use search, but i dont have the link at hand so that would be the easiest way to locate it.

Need to wipe the phone when installing. I thought the same thing at first but went back and did a clean install. .122 is much better than .113 after this.

No probs with .122 'cept for a possible memory leak. Loving the "sparkier, peppier, slicker" aspects (and all other cliche new beta o.s. statements).

I went to 122 and the browser was slow. I am going back to 113. I went ahead and did the mms fix since I had to last time.

Why would I need to wipe the storm first? Using the loader in program files/common files/rim, does that for you before installing any OS.... I have been installing OS's for over 2 years and have never had to do a wipe before installing a new OS....

I also am downgrading for most of the same problems. I don't have many 3rd party apps, but I am pulling it from the case to see that I have a frozen screen that needs a batt pull. I also see that some times it will stick here or there. I had a phone call that I was on my Bluetooth and needed to get to the Home Screen and my screen was completely locked and I had to do a batt pull to end the call. IMO, .113 is still the best and that's where I'm heading back to right now. Good luck to the rest of you.

.122 seems to be running fine on my phone, but at the moment it seems that i had better luck with the bb crackman hybrid of .114v2.
.113 was trash for me. So yeah..there goes my 2 cents.

I wiped my phone and loaded .122 and had some propblems, even after many pulls and a second reload of .122. Visual voice mail was very random about retrieving messages. I also had some lock ups when disconnecting from calls. Have had more dropped calls. I went back to .113 and everything is back the way it should be; or should I say as good as this touch screen can be with this software. I want to have high hopes for the Storm and if the touch screen was as responsive as the Motorola Krave, WOW.; then I could say I love the Storm.

I did a wipe of 114 v3 and installed the 122 pasting the 122 CDMA and JAVA folders into 113 (4.7.0.122, platform 4.0.0.153) and my phone was much faster than 114 v3 (camera, apps, and browser), but my app memory kept dropping. So I wiped the phone again and installed 122 pasting the 114 v3 CDMA and 122 JAVA folder into 113 (4.7.0.122, platform 4.0.0.144). I haven't seen any difference from the 122 platform 153 except app memory seems to have stabilized. Battery life in each version is as good or better than 113 or 114 v3 for me. 122 is definitely better for me and I have not experienced the problems mentioned here. I generally wipe with JL Cmdr before upgrading and at do least one physical battery pull after the update.

Still waiting for BBCrackman's v3.5, though, which is supposed to include parts of 122. Early reports from BBOS is that the browser is even quicker in 3.5 compared to 122 (which for me is blazing compared to 114 v3 or 113). Hopefully, there will be no issues with battery life or memory leak.
