How do I find what OS I have?
New to the phone only had it since Saturday. I see people have upgraded their OS and was wondering how I can tell which version I have.
Any help would be extremly helpful!!

Options, About. If you have one out of the box from Verizon, almost guaranteed it will be 4.7.0.75.

or if you want a quick way to see lots of information including your OS, your PIN, and your battery level in % among other things, do this:
while holding the back button (curved arrow) down, touch (dont click, just touch) the top left corner, then the top right corner, then top left again, then top right again.
it should bring up a white screen that says "Help Me!" at the top and a ton of nice information without having to go into the options menus. - 04-21-2009, 04:03 PM

Have you read the Sticky at the top on how to upgrade/downgrade OS? If not do that first so your confident you can do so. After that I would upgrade to OS .113 or higher. There are hybrid OS you can get as well. They are all in this forum just have to take the time to find most of them. Im running the Bell .122 and like it so far.

I have read and bookmarked for future use. It seems a little difficult. I am a little nervous about doing it and messing up my phone....
Thank you to everyone who helped me with this - 04-24-2009, 05:57 AM #12
I seems a little daunting at first, but you will find that it is much easier in practice than on paper. Read the forums until you are comfortable, then dive in. There are a lot of great people here to help if you run into problems.
Soon enough you'll be upgrading like a pro.
Good Luck!Twitter @michaelwpg
