Default Help Phone not working after .230 install atempt

All right so i tried to install the leaked .230 not the hybrid version of.230,..and everything seemed fine untill it was installing the software on my phone and a error message came up. SAying there was some problem loading a file. Well the phone reset and started to load but it got stuck with the blue load bar on the bottom of the screen with only about a 1/5th left to go. So i pulled the battery and the samething happend. So i asumend i could just wipe the phone and upload a beta hybrid that i have. Well i wiped the device but know im stuck at Reload Software 507 screen,.. I've tried reloading the hybrid but still stuck,..any help?

mike, looks like he pulled his plug early. He may have to do the white screen reinstall OS.

OP can DM or AppLoader even see your Storm now?

Aha, you might be right.
Also, he already wiped the device, so he's halfway through the white screen reinstall.

How long did you wait when the bar got stuck?

Though it is odd that he says it was a blue line on the bottom of the screen. .230 (at least the old one) had a solid black line with the black background.

Yup, which is why I asked him if he had any other OSs installed.
I bet you he did and it picked one of them up.

Go into add/remove programs and uninstall all blackberry device software, but not desktop software.
Also, get rid of the OS folders from here: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files

You only want the OS that you want installed on your phone in there.

Sounds like you were not very patient.
I would usually walk away for 20 minutes or so before I'd be doing battery pulls during an install.

Yes you had to wait to much longer than that before aborting, BUT

YOU WERE NOT INSTALLING .230, you had to have been installing a 4.7 build.

Here's what I did when it happened to me. It involves a series of DOS commands.

He said he already has the 507 screen, so he just needs to install through apploader.
