HELP!! need a new OS

ive got 5.0.0.328...cant seem to find a new OS for my 9530..can anyone hook me up? PLEASE.....greatly appreciate any help guys..

Right now I think its 862/797.

912/797 is the newest. Try it out.

I dont know, I ran the exe and it said, successful,but phone ABOUT still says 4.7

Running the EXE file only installs it on your computer.

I did it, but the loader screen doesnt show the System Software Update.
It just lists my installed Apps.
Damn it..

Go into control panel and make sure the the 797 OS is the only one installed. Then if you still have problems try using BBSAK to wipe the phone and install the new OS.

I got it unlocked.
And yes, only 1 OS shows on installed programs.

And I dont want to make the phone dead by wiping.
How will get my data back then ?
And in case, 5.0 doesnt get installed, then Im f**ked.
Are you sure, wiping is safe ?

I normally use the DM and when plugging in the phone it picks up the new OS files as being available automatically and it does't involve a wipe. You do have the blackberry device manager installed i assume, if not you need to.

But there have been times when i had to wipe the phone with BBSAK and install the new OS using BBSAK and i didn't have any problems. I think the instructions are on the website with the program if you need them.
