well i dont feel that insulting someone who is new to the community is very helpful. i do not doubt that she has skills nor that she is a vital part of the forum being that she most likely has been doing this longer than i have. but she didnt have to comment on me nor on what she thought my skills were. that is extremely rude. i started this post to get HELP. i admit that i dont know everything, and there are numberous factors that could be the reason this is not working (ex computer, data cable, hardware installed, etc) including human imperfection. however with that said, i am not an *****...i know how to read and how to follow directions. i said that i am doing all of the steps listed and i am getting no where. i didnt start this thread to start an argument or battle anyone. with that said i am not commenting any more about that topic and i would just greatly appreciate HELPFUL comments.

You'll probably never find out because that bit*h took my post too personally. What somnia misunderstood is that he/she thought I was insulting them about their knowledge, but I wasn't. I based my evaluation on the fact that he/she said

Ultimately I was correct in my assessment... they shouldn't be ashamed that they can't fix it, but the path of least resistance at this point was to let someone fix it for them and show them how it was done....... Guess what, that's exactly what happened (i.e. movie helped somnia fix the issue) and the outcome is... FIXED STORM!

So, somnia, please do tell me (now that you've chilled out and are happy to have your Storm back), how exactly was I not helpful in my suggestion when the fact is that that's exactly what ended up fixing your issue?

Honestly, I really don't care. I just was a bit surprised that they took that post as a personal attack. It wasn't even intended as that. I'm sure you've seen my posts when I dog someone out. I think my response above was even curbed a bit from the usual. The bottom line was, I suggested they take a different route and have someone else fix it for them, which they did... then they get ticked when that's exactly what fixed it. F dat!
