Exclamation Help!! Cant Load Os System

So i have a question. If i wiped handset using JL Commander correctly, would my PIN still show when i connect to AppLoader. I was attempting to reload os and it keeps rebooting, not at the connection screen, but at the screen where it tries so read reboot os...what am i doing wrong....oh also when hooked up to the computer and when the app loader is detecting bb, there is no red light on. the only time i get a red LED is when bb restarts itsself (well, when i disattach it and restart it) and then its a consistant red light, not blinking...

No, it won't show up in DM. There's no OS on it. Use loader.exe to force the OS load back on it. Next time, just upgrade the OS, a wipe isn't needed, it does one anyway when it loads the new OS. It's easier to load an OS that way for you.

PS: OS means Operating System. So you said "Operating system system" Just a Pet-peeve Civic is right though

To clarify, have you looked at these threads first and still having problems?

had this happen to my friends once. his was because he tried upgrading to a beta while connected to the net. in any case I am pretty sure i fixed it by taking the battery out then starting dm and starting the update process and when it shows connections, plug in the usb cable there with the battery out and usb should pop up. sorry a little rusty

are you saying i should disconnect my laptop from internet or my phone? the phone cant be connected because there is no os on it. also i dont know how other ppl are doing it, but when i take my battery out, even with it connected to computer, it shuts off there by disconnecting from computer and it cannot be accessed with app loader or dm bc its not on....

it should still power on from the usb..... is your laptop plugged into the ac adapter? need to check on that because the usb will not distribute power to the usb slots in order to keep power for itself

its in this walkthrough aswell, didnt see it in the above lists

What OS is currently on the phone and were did you get the phone? If you're running an old OS and you bought your phone on ebay or somewhere else, take a look at your PIN and see if it starts with 20. If it does, then chances are good this phone you have is a development unit that cannot take some of the newer OS loads. If however you've been running .148 on this phone for a while and are just having issues loading .151, then it's just user error. Keep trying... you're missing something, somewhere.

DM will not see the phone's PIN without an OS on it.

Just use LOADER.EXE to reload the OS. It's not difficult.

there is no os on bb...i whiped it with JL commander. i dont have it on me right now, but i know my pin starts off with 306xxxx. I was running on .148 and ive tried to install .151 and .148 with several files. apparently im not getting something, but i dont know what it is. ive been working on this for about a week and a half...im getting frustrated beyond belief. ive followed all the links ad tutorials step by step word for word and im still not getting anywhere. im stuck because my bb is not doing what it should in the tutorilas (ex, never had blinking red lighte, only consistant red light; never was stuck in reboot loop, just reboots when i try to load os on it; cant takeout battery and turn phone on while connected to usb, wont turn on; computer didnt register phone as USB: PIN UNKNOWN, bb's PIN always showed up...) if this stupid thing would stop being so darn difficult and just show the classic signs i might be able to get this thing up and running! ugh!!! please help me guys!

(the following is technically the same in all the other links, just follow)

1) make sure u have .151 os installed on ur computer
2) plug in phone
3) open jl_cmdr > y > y/n (yes or no if u have a password or not) > number 4 > type in blackberry
4) wait til u c "507 Error" on ur phone(i think that's the rite error code
5) go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader\loader.exe
6) next > next
7) u will c "BlackBerry 4.7 System Software" Action: Update/Install
8) u will c "BlackBerry 4.7 Core Applications" Action: Update/Install
9) select all the items u want on ur phone
10 Next
11) Finish
12) Wait til it says "Finished Updating" (or something like that) > wait for ur phone to reboot before unplugging phone from computer
