Default Gain memory loop hole possibly?

Ok so I think i might have found a loop hole to gain more memory, Tell me if im right or wrong.

I installed the newest hybrid for my storm, I shrank it and got rid of the default ringtones. After installing the os and all my apps I downloaded all the default ringtones from the blackberry website. Call me crazy but if i download them to the blackberry or even to the card I still gain those 2mb back(If I counted correctly). Whohoo instant memory

There are also many tutorials on how to minimize the install, by removing cod files from the local installation folder for desktop manager. This loophole can be used to remove unused items like Voice Activated Dialing, Carrier themes, and pretty much anything else that is always there, but you never use. Works great for those old Pearl phones with next to no memory, even with only os4.5.
BTW, you can do this with ANY OS version, doesn't have to be a hybrid.
