Don't bother with 114, keep 109
I'm starting a new thread as just a heads up to everyone. The ONLY upgrade in .114 is the copy and paste, everything else is horribly slow and the accelerometer is terrible.

And the phone works a helll of a lot faster. The accelerometer is terrible though.

everything is faster for me. the only lag i've had is due to running multiple apps, copying info from one to another, and the lock during memory cleaning. it locked up once when i got like 20 messages all at once too, but it did that before .114. IMO this is the best version so far (i dont consider the keypad during a phone call a big deal due to pause dialing for most IVR functions i use from my storm and i dont call a lot anyway)

It has nothing to do with appreciating, grow up. My post is specifically about the flaws and for me, IMO, they're overbearingly annoying.

problem with OS .114
When I press the send key to bring it up to dial a number after it connects your call and I want to bring dial pad back to press (0) or (1) for English it just brings up the key board. and it not that fast any more I am going back to .109
Godspeed
Looking for .132 I put it up on my sight

running .132 - 03-11-2009, 09:11 PM #12
I think everyone has a right to post their opinion on an OS. Wether its good or bad.
Yes, Kevin was amazing in leaking .114 but it doesnt mean its gona be great for everyone.
People have to stop flaming everyone all the time for no reason. Its getting boring. - 03-11-2009, 09:12 PM #13
I personally love the build .114 as long as you load the keyboard fix and mms fix. imo the accelerometer is fixed now. It does randomly switch. In portrait, hold it at a 90 degree angle and it switches very quickly (under a second) likes this:

And back to landscape in about 2 seconds.
No random reboots and even with a theme running, I didn’t dip below 25 with all day use. + No hour glass all day with no heavy use. Just my 2 cents.Last edited by polar135; 03-11-2009 at 09:42 PM.

It is odd. I guess I must be very lucky...every leak has been flawless for me...

.114 dialpad issue
.114 runs great for me. the accelerometer runs fast and I have had no issue with speed or much lag. The only issue is with the dialpad when I tried to check my voicemail but if you set the Portrait view keyboard to multi-tap in the screen/keyoard options it will bring the dialpad up for you. The only issue with this is that when you go to write a text or an email, it will come up with the multiap option and if you try to set it back to the keyboard, it will change the settings back to the keyboard and the dialpad will not come up when you need it. Best thing to do is keep it on mult-tap and type everything in the landscape mode because the keyboard automatically is chosen. its a good work-around for now and hopefully they will take care of this in future OS updates.

.109 is working so incredibly well for me, I see no reason to bother upgrading.
If there is one thing I've learned from lurking in these forums for so long, it is that these leaked operating systems produce different results on different handsets. Some people seem to experience all the glitches, others have nothing but success. It's really hit or miss.
My advice is this: if you're happy with what you have, definitely stick with it.

I am able to type MUCH faster with 114.
