Default Computer wont recognise storm at all - red light of death

As above my storm has ceased to be.
Computer wont recognise it, have tried connecting at certain times etc with no avail.

The light doesnt flash when it is not connected to the power. The cable is fine ( have had two other bb's connected with no problems) also have tried another battery.

Im sorry if this is a repeat thread ive tried everything including running apploader and JL_cmder

pretty desperate for some help

It sounds like your device is "nuked." Follow the instructions [HERE] and you should be fine mate. Best of luck and keep us posted.

Keep at it. Its kind of hard to do. You have to catch it just right. If you can't get this to work though, I would call into VZW and see if you are under warranty and can get a replacement sent out to you.

Dont know why the link isn't working.

I dont even know if safe mode will help, but pull the battery, put it back in, when/if the LED goes off, hold the esc/arrow button down until phone starts in safe mode. Usually takes a minute or so for that to work so have to hold the button for a while.
