Angry Can't answer calls since upgrade

Since I upgraded my storm the phone times out when I do anything. It is very discourging that when someone calls I can't answer because the phone is "thinking".

I did take the phone to Verizon and the gave me a new one. It worked for a few days but now if is doing the same thing. Is anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions?

If a replacement Storm does the same thing, then chances are it's something you're doing. What apps are loaded? How much free memory is left? Are you running any themes? What ringtone do you have set? All questions that you need to answer... you need to provide more detail then what you've already posted.

Yep, found another user in the regular forum that had similar issues... their app memory was 0.0.

Well, if RIM hadn't been stingy on the app memory architecture, we wouldn't be talking right now.

Ok here are the answers to your questions.

1. Apps loaded: In addition to what came on the phone I have StormLock, FlashLight, Pandora, Quick Pull and Picture Dial

2. Free Memory is 0

3. I have the Storm Today Plus Hidden Weather theme installed but I am not using it because it doesen't work right so I was going to switch to something else.

4. I have ringtones set for about 20 of my contacts.

I can see that the Free Memory being 0 is not good so what do I do. I don't have a ton of apps. Does this mean I can't run anymore apps or is the theme doing this.

If you don't use VZNav, uninstall it STAT. Also get rid of VVM if you don't use it. You need to free up some memory quick. Get rid of any themes you don't use... a lot of them are very large in size and if you don't use them, they're just taking up room. You can't use your phone right because you're at 0 for app memory... not surprised here.

Ok I did a battery pull to answer your questions howarmat and I now have 33.2MB of memory. I do the battery pull every night.

When I did it this time though it removed my wallpaper from the main screen?

I am going to uninstall the apps that JRSCCivic98 suggested now.

I am also running Weather Bug I forgot to mention that. I would like to get one of the iBerry themes do you know if those will mess things up.

43 isn't bad. Also, update your Weatherbug to the latest version (if you're running the old 0.x version). The new one is pretty stable and doesn't drain memory as much as the old one.... from my and other's experiences.
