Default Browser trouble

Hello, I own both the 8520 and the 9500. Recently my 9500 browser started displaying " this is a Wi-Fi service. Please ensure your device has an active Wi-Fi connection and try again". Now I did my research and read that all I have to do was go to the browser-options-browser configuration and change "hotspot browser to Internet browser" but the problem is that hotspot browser is the only available. I also tried to reset the device like I do on my 8520 options-security options-general settings- wipe handheld but the problem was there is no general settings. You might tell me to go to host routing table and register now but it also won't work. Btw I also can't find my WAP browser. Thanks

hey that only happens if u have no data plan... to get "browser" working u need to have BIS plan.. and then the company sends over the service books...

so if u do have a data plan then u need to pull service books and ull be able to change that hotspot thing...

if u have a WAP plan (no bis plan) then u need to go to Advanced Settings > TCP/IP settings... and add the apn for ur company in there... u will be able to use 3rd party browser like bolt or opera mini
