    Default Bricked berry question

OK I'm sorry to post this b-cuz I know you crazy berry people answer the same effing questions all day long but I have no other choice. I bricked my storm 1 about a month ago and I've been periodically trying to fix the *******. I can't get past the first step though LOL!

I feel like a moron, but the first step is giving me loads of trouble. I need to "Install the desired OS to my computer" right? How the **** do I do that? I went to the verizon website and it tries to send me through blackberry's apploader for an upgrade.... which does me no good.

Please help and if my question isn't making sense tell me what you need to know to help me and I'll be glad to offer up whatever info I can. I decided to devote my night to fixing this thing so I'll be waiting by the computer for someone to help. Thx.

There are plenty of links posted at the top of this forum in the OS section. I believe there is a link there to download Verizon's .328 there as well.

Well... I tried that and it tries to have me download it through blackberry app loader and it never installs.... obviously i'm not finding the link so if you're coming in here telling me there's a link somewhere, then please post the link for me because I obviously wasn't able to find it. Thanks

No need for the attitude, there were about four or five links posted in that thread, so obviously you couldn't see them or find them. Here is a megaupload link that is up and running so you don't yell at me about not posting links.

Well I'm not meaning to yell.... It's just frustrating. My ****'s been bricked for a month now and the links I'm finding take me through the app loader, which requires me to connect my blackberry and then says it can't communicate with my blackberry to go any further.

Hopefully the link you sent me works I'm going nuts without my phone. Thanks

I can understand your frustration. That link doesn't require you to go through DM to upgrade your phone. You will download the .exe and then install it. Then you should be able to go through either DM or loader.exe to load the OS to your phone. Just to make sure, you checked through the fixing a bricked storm how to's right? It sounds like you have, just so that way you have an idea of what to do after you get the OS lol.

Well, if you bricked it the first step is probaably to wipe it with jlcommander or BBSAK so it boots up to a reload software screeb. Have you already done that?

And how exactly did you brick it? Some background information on what happened and what you've done might help someone help you...
