Blackberry 9530 keeps restarting every 10-15 seconds!

Okay, I recently got a Verizon blackberry storm from my big sister, so there's no insurance or anything. I Came home and turned it on, but all that happens is, the red light turns on for about 10 seconds, and then it turns off, and the screen turns on for one second. When I plug it up to a charger, or a computer, It charges. The little charging screen shows up and then after a couple minutes it shuts off, the phone turns back on with the little clock in the middle of the black screen. It won't go any further that that though. and then when i unplug it, that same process with the red light as described before, happens again. So I bought a new battery online, It showed up to my house today, and i put it in and that didn't work. The same thing happened as before. I don't know any of the info inside of the phone because i haven't got to turn it on and access anything. OH and when I plug it into my computer, It is acknowledged, and then when I go to my computer and click on Removable Disk E (or F sometimes), It Asks for me to insert a disk! I don't understand any of these problems. Do i need a new OS? Do I need to get it checked out by a professional? Some feedback would be life saving right now!

*P.S. I've tried battery pulls, no luck there..

Sounded just like the problem I had, but a new battery fixed my endless restart issue. Try leaving it plugged into the wall or computer charger for like a day or two to see if it ever comes out of the endless loop.

As suggested, try letting it charge for about 12 hours, then try again.

If that does not work, you probably need a new battery.
