Default The BES error when trying to upgrade

Anyone else having this problem, I clicked directly from the Blackberry site and it connects to my device then displays that error. I don't have a work phone, this makes no sense.

You need to contact your system administrator for the update.

I had the same issue...leave the Apploader that has that message in it open...then click the link again and launch a new Apploader instance...it should allow you to do it then...did for me and a few others...

I left the error window open. I clicked the link. I entered my PIN on the BB website, and then it just keeps linking me to the verizon .75 web page

nevermind, midway through i got the BES error again, has anyone fully completed the install using this workaround?

EDIT: tried again when entering a password (though i never remembered setting one), and it seems to be updating to .148 now, getting a lot farther than previously.

EDIT 2: Confirmed, I am now on .148, though everything is wiped. Hope the backup works.

This worked but it's been stuck on "Connecting to boot ROM" for a while now.

Also, on my device the arrows between the device and computer images is static and not moving.

Should these arrows be constantly moving or static?

Yea, I have the same issue. It tells me to contact my service administrator (dont have one, its a personal phone) and then I click the link, it sends me to Verizons page and theres only .75 available?? How are some finding it, and others like me are having issues? lol
