Battery question: Japan v. China
Ok...so maybe this is a little stupid. I noticed that my wife's REPLACEMENT Storm has a battery made in Japan vs. the one her old & my current Storm has, that are made in China...Any super-secrect-undergorund scoop that I should know about re: the 2 different battery types and which may or may not be better?
(of course I could fire the Storm up with each and see if I noticed a difference, but what fun would that be when I can ask?
)

Interesting...are they the same capacity? Both my BB batteries are made in China and are 1400mAh and my Seidio 1600mAh is assembled in Taiwan with Japanese cells. I've seen reports a few times where some Storms came with batteries of a lower capacity, I want to say 1200mAh. See if there is any difference there. I haven't had any problems with mine.

weird. cells made in japan are usually higher quality. we see this alot with rc lipo packs. china packs are the cheaper stuff.

Japan better... China cheap. Taiwan... cheaply made with high quality materials.

as long as they are listed as the same power and are both offered by Verizon, then it doesn't matter. lol. Verizon isn't going to back a crappy battery. but then again... no... they wouldn't. And I don't think it's verizon. IT's probably RIM. Good quality company most of the time.
