Arabic for 4.7 and 5.0 OS.
Arabic for the Storm.
I replaced the zip file cod's with the new cod's from the os 126.96.36.1995 for the blackberry 9700.
Tested with my blackberry storm and works like a charm.
It should work with any Blackerry that has the OS 4.7 and above.
I installed OOAKDPC/Lyricidal latest 5.0 Hybrid and realized that they shrinked their Hybrid to exclude languages.
For those of you who want to have Arabic inputs and interface on their 9530 or 9500, I pulled up the cod's for the Arabic language from the 188.8.131.52 and created an alx file. (See Attched Arabic5.0.zip File)
Use your Blackberry desktop manager to install it.
Tested with OOK/Lyr 184.108.40.206 Hybrid and it was fully working.
Tested with the leaked 220.127.116.11. it works but the SMS bug is still there. There is nothing I can do here, since this bug is part of the 4.7 radio.
Any comments or suggestion for improvements are appreciated.

If you install any of the 4.7.0.XXX OS's and then install the attached cod's in the first post, you can transform your UI into arabic. you will be able to use the arabic keyboard beside english clearly in any application BUT NOT IN SMS. For SMS you have to use the english keyboard.
But in 5.0.0.XXX you will have basically everything working.

Network update-Provisioning status
I have problem since I installed the new version 5. when I am making any call then I press end call butting the mobile Tour 9630 it is giving me a message that (the network is updating your preferred network list. please wait....) If I wait nothing will happen and if I click cancel it will give me another message (the session is being cancelled please wait...) after that I canít do anything the mobile it will hang directly and if I close the mobile by holding the end button and I make it up again the message it will not be disappear unless I remove the battery.
Please help me to solve this issue.
The zip file has been updated on 12/10/2009. All cod's are from the OS 18.104.22.1685 for the Blackberry Bold 9700. So it should work without any problem with your 9700.
1. Download and unzip the attached file in the first post.
2. Connect you Blackberry to the PC
3. Open the Desktop Manager
4. Select "Application Loader"
5. Select "Add/Remove Applications"
6. You will see "Device Application selection", you need to hit the "Browse" button and browse to the ara.alx, the one in the folder you just download and unzipped.
7. Select next and let it load.
8. Do a battery pull if possible, and you should be good to go.

Thanks a lot ! this really solved my headache with the glitchy performance of OS 4.6 and made it possible for me to upgrade to os 22.214.171.1241
There are still some programs to be upgraded thu since I need my "Mobile Banking" app along with VonageMobile since I use them alot. Otherwise, the Arabic addition was the last thing I was awaiting to switch to the latest os. THANKS A LOT ROM-Man.

I have a Blackberry Bold 9700, and I had it this week, and this is my first Blackberry device. I had been trying for the last four days to solve the Arabic language problem without any success, I even downloaded the software several times each one for a carier of an arabic country. Now with many thanks t Romman the problem solved and the arabic working in a perfect way.
Thanks again for all the help we can get at this forum.
