What started out as something very nice ended in a disaster :-(, I was very happy with the 131 for the first few days but then I noticed that soemtimes my screen would not render correctly (strange lines over the screen) and the black hole that consumed my Mem seemed to just get bigger and bigger… despite not having more than google maps and viigo installed, no other 3rd party apps.

Downgraded back to a 113/114 hybrid that I had and I am kinda happy again… I just wish RIM could get this sorted out so we can have a decent OS for the phone.

Have no idea what you are talking about. Works like a dream. Mem at 42mb and battery seems unchanged. Rule No 1 is backup and backup again in case. There is no reason to loose 3rd party apps except haste without planning!

I've done a clean install of .131 to see what the score is with memory leak, and the only 3rd party apps I have installed at MeterBerry and Capture It. Nothing else.

Memory held reasonably well initially, losing only 4-5MB for about the first 12 hours and has since dropped by 18MB (as I type this!) in the last 19 hours.

I don't think any other OS version has been any different either, and it usually gets blamed on 3rd party apps. I'd say it's both OS and the apps.

For what it's worth!

My phone just got really slow, I checked the memory and it was at 0 MB, I've never seen that before!

I havent done a battery pull since I installed it 3 days ago. Then again, I usually only have to do one once a week or so.

Hey, the megaupload file isn't working, any chance I could get another Megaupload link since I have an active premium account there ?

Im still confused about whether I should update or shouldn't, but everyone keeps saying .131 is the best so far.

I am on .131. Seems ok but I do have one very strange happening. I am getting spam emails from my address to my address which do not come to my computer. I have no spam control by my isp only my Norton and Outlook both of which I can see and check the contents. These messages are only on my Storm and they appear there with the To: and From: as a nickname I use for the display for my address.
This has only happened since I changed from .78 to .131 My apps are: Storm slider, MeterBerry, Berry Weather, MyUtils [deleted as was rubbish], Stained Glass, Simon Storm, Thumdoko, Quick Launch.
Any dieas anyone?
Also stupid question maybe but when you do a batttery pull is it right to switch the phone off first, then take the battery out for 1 minute or so? Or should phone be left on?
Tx.
