Why? Because it's made for a different device. You can't install the OS for a 8310 onto a 8320. The Storm is the same.

No, your best bet it to subscribe to this thread so that it mails you with further news. Set up your storm to push the e-mail to your phone so that you save waiting around your PC for any update.

I'm starting to wonder if it's simply memory registers that don't get changed when you flash the phone that tripped me up, and these registers are set to only accept the non-*30 firmware because from a programming point of view I can't understand why the 9500 trips CDMAInfo functions, if they are so completely different as you keep saying.

After all you can flash with different carrier firmware for the same model, but the branding isn't lost so the above theory could be in the same memory space etc, but again not something I'm that interested in, but there are some people that would be I suppose.

Yea well after the US carriers get done with most phones there isn't much you can do with them unless you pay extra to enable it again lol
