    Default 5.0.0.328 for 9500

    LOL, I wish.

Why we stuck on 4.7.0.181 official and 5.0.0.216 leaked when the 9530 is now sooooo far ahead on 5.0.0.328 official?
Been a whole month since last leak... c'mon someone give us 9500s some loving!

Won’t somebody please think of the children?!

I agree!!! No love for the 9500 owners...

I checked Vodafone website they are already advertising Storm 2, so they're just giving up on the 9500...

It'll come don't worry, will be better than the .328 too. Our versions usually follow after a slightly bugged 9530 o/s :-)

I'm sure someone like Vodafone or Taiwan Mobile will release an official 5.0 around the same build number as Verizon's pretty soon. They are probably just waiting until after they have had time to release the Storm2 unlike Verizon. Yall were ahead of us with the leaks for quite a while before I managed to get us 9530 users into the 5.0 game with .140 so don't get too mad at us!

Well, seems like a long long wait. I am surprised that there are no leaks as well. Did the testing stop for the 9500 device or carriers got greedy and decided to test the 9520's OS first? Wonder what OS the network independent Storms and 8520's will release with in India!

By the way OP, you might want to change the title.. my heart just skipped a beat

While they may be giving up on sales of this phone, I doubt they will give up support of it for quite a while. Alot of older models, all the way back to the curve, will be getting a 5.0 update and im sure it wont stop there for the Storm. RIM wants to keep those of us that have to wait the full two years to upgrade happy so we will stay with their brand when our time comes. That said, I don't think we will see anymore huge improvements in the OS like there are between 4.7 and 5.0 except for the flash enabled browser rumored for next summer.

@BB I agree, 9500s leaks have generally been ahead of the 9530s but never by this much. It was usually only a matter of days before you got something similar but this is too much... not only did you get a decent 5 leak, you then got an offical one way off the chart!

I'm sure it's only a matter of days before we get a decent 5 leak (or even better official) but you can understand our pain, I feel soooo neglected!

Which doesn't really matter in many senses, as 16x/17x/18x have no real improvements anyway.

On the other hand you guys are getting more leaks esp. 5.0 ones

Yeah but would be nice to have the choice of a new buggy os over an old buggy os

To be honest, I think RIM are actually getting close to an OS that the phone should have shipped with a year ago. They are getting better with every step but just not quite the polished product yet.

I agree, pretty sure we won't have to wait too long either. That's normally the case. I don't think their version has the pop ups on keyboard either, will be good of we get that and they don't :-)

It appears that there won't be an offical 9500 release (by vodafone) until 2010. 2010! WTF? I'll be expecting a 6.0.0.x release by then !

Not content with any OS for more that two weeks I feel like we are well overdue. I'm trying a 238/323 hybrid but I think the core radio files are still @ .216 which just seems ancient now.

I really, really REALLY need a leak - someone please let one slip

Personally I don't give a damn about official releases.

But I DO think Vodafone made the right decision by withholding 5.0 for Storm. It's a customer support nightmare (and irresponsible just like RIM did with Storm one year ago) if they do release it now -- it's too buggy, and it's Storm2's (amongst others) prime time.

Leaks are another story. I want a leak BADLY now.

BTW, no one, ok maybe except you , is expecting OS 6.0, not in 2010, not on Storm (and chances are NEVER will be)
