    Default .230 blue tooth

    Here's the situation. I had .148 on the phone (9530), installed 5.191 on my computer, installed .230 in that folder, ran shrink and then loader. Got everything working, no issues...until i got into my car.

    I have a new pioneer head unit with blue tooth built in. The phone can and did stream music to the head unit and also be able to talk to the head units mic and hear the voice on the car speakers. Now with .230 I can talk thru the mic, stream music, but can not hear anyone thru the car speakers. I have to keep the phone to my ear to hear them.

    Any ideas?

    There is something about .230 that seems to corrupt the BT configuration of the devices previously saved. I had the very same issue with my Motorola S305 headset. I found that if I toggled whether encryption was enabled/disabled I could get it to work with the old configuration, but to fix it I had to delete the old configuration and start over with the pairing process. BUT the option to delete the device was not available until I did the following (based on a tip in the Findings and Fixes thread):

    1. Disable Bluetooth
    2. Go to Options->Bluetooth->BB Button->Options
    3. At the Bottom are the Services. Uncheck ALL OF THEM
    4. Save the configuration
    5. Now delete devices that have been previously paired
    6. Go back to the Services and re-check the ones you need.
    7. Re-pair the device

    At this point my Motorola S305 works perfectly. Calls can be answered and made using the headset, I can listen to my music (but I still have the annoying muting bug when it advances to the next song), it's all good.

    Try this and see if it helps you.

    Actually, the credit should go to chi-town311, he posted the recommendation to uncheck all the boxes in the services to delete the existing pairings in the Finding and Fixes thread for .230.

    Completely got rid of my problem, so I figured I share with the community that has already given me a bunch.

    I'll edit the instructions to include disabling the BT first (forgot I already had it disabled when I did it)
    4.7.0.64 -> 4.7.0.76 -> 4.7.0.85 -> 4.7.0.109 -> 4.7.0.122 -> 4.7.0.132 -> 4.7.0.148 -> 4.7.0.151 -> 4.7.0.167 -> 5.0.0.230 -> 5.0.0.328 -> iPhone 3G[s] . .

    When I paired my Motorola headset I found that I lost voice control that I used to have in .148. Is there any way to get this back?

    Works fine for me. It sounds like you're missing Voice Activated Dialing. Verify that this is installed.

    Thanks for the help with that one...lt worked! But now problem number 2....with blue tooth..

    The sound works now for the phone call which is great, but now i can't stream music to the head unit. When it would connect before it would give me a whole long list of features that are working with blue tooth...now i just get hands free.

    Ideas?

    Are you sure you re-enabled all the services when you went back to the options? You need to have Audio Source checked.
