.114 install not going well

I don't understand what I haven't done but I downloaded .114 and installed it and downloaded the hyrbid and extracted it but I'm missing a bunch of the folders on my computer. now I installed the Desktop Manager when I first got the phone but I don't show these application loader and whatever else folders. when I open Research in Motion folder on my computer all I show is a Blackberry folder! so where is all the missing stuff??? what didnt I download??

This .114 you installed should be listed in a folder here:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files
as 9530-v4.7.0.114_P4.0.0.143

Up two directories, in the Research In Motion folder, you should see AppLoader, AutoUpdate, BBBI Drivers, etc...

I use the AppLoader to install all the updates, which is the Loader.exe in the AppLoader directory.

the .114 hybrid will not have ALL of the folders that the .114 has. Just replacements. Come hang out in the thread in my sig. We will try to help. Follow the directions on page 1 to the dot.

If you go to the new 114 hybrid and it works great thread I think that from reading some of the posts it will help you out. A lot of people were having problems and were helped out in that forum.

If you are on Vista use the file explorer to find the files using the path specified in the installation directions in that thread. The directions seemed to me to be using Windows XP screens but i'm not sure on that. I just know that my screens were different on Vista. I had to delete the 114 file from the beta then replace it with the 114 hybrid from the zip file because my computer kept putting both folders in the build. I think that the file should be placed under the java folder but check the original post to be sure.

THANKS FOR THE HELP!!!! I think I'm going in the right direction cause it's loading it into my phone now! you must understand I'm a blond trying to work with technology! lol now do I have to delete stuff off of my phone after its all installed?? I'm hoping this is gonna fix my slow response problem. this thing is SO SLOW!! and I keep closing down applications that I'm not using and it's not really helping, but we'll see!!

Shouldn't have to delete anything after you're done, that's your choice, app-wise...
