The dictionary does aggravate me as well. I'll end up with a great word spelled correctly, and then you get back the stupid error that it doesn't exist.

"Intrepid" is a great one that it doesn't know.

My high score before the update was 35xx.

Can the lowly Curve owners get this game too? Is there an OTA link? Sounds fun.

Only at a measly 3800, level 16 I think it was. Loving this game much more than I would have expected.

7077 so far, stupid dictionary ruined a perfectly good game not recognizing legitimate words. Does anyone know how I can login in to submit my high score? It says the server does not support the game.

I've had a bold for a couple of weeks. My best score was around 9500 but it was blown away by the 4.6 update before I got enterprise-activated (which seemed to be required before I could submit to the leaderboard). Best score since is 8170.

Yes, the dictionary is really frustrating. There are quite a lot of good words it doesn't know - and if you hit one on the higher levels you've wasted enough time that you can't beat that level and your game is over.

I presume that you form words on the Storm by touching the letters in sequence? I reckon that would be a lot quicker than using the Bold trackball to navigate to each one in turn. I'm pretty sure that the Leaderboard doesn't distinguish scores on the Bold from those on the Storm, so people with the latter device have an advantage

For anyone who's interested, here's how the scoring works:

Letters are divided into three groups:
  1. A E I O U D G L N R S T
  2. B C F H M P V W Y
  3. J K Q X Z

The score for a word of length N consists of two components:
  • A length-based score = N * (N-2)
  • A letter-based score for each letter in groups 2 & 3 (that depends on N). Group 2 letters score (N-2)/2 bonus points and group 3 letters (N-2) bonus points. If the total bonus has a fraction it is rounded down.

My best word so far scored 262 and I have 231 quite a few times, but it can take quite a bit of time to figure out if you can make a really long word and if you can't see one you can fail the level...

Just hit level 36, 13,588. My previous high was around 8400, and I just got on a good roll. I always check for 'strainers', 'stiringers' and such. good for at least 45-60.

in regards to the playing other players my girlfriend can invite me to play so she hosts but when i send her the word mole invite it seems to go into some vast blackhole.

does 'having a dirty garden' (as describe in the multiplayer awards) affect scores in the single player game?

high score is around 11000.
