Why isn't my Storm working properly?

I bought an unlocked Storm (9530) and put my TMO sim card in it, and it's not working properly. Like, I can USE the phone, I can text and send and receive email, and browse the web, but the 3rd party apps don't work. I've tried re-downloading the service books, I've tried changing the APN. I don't know what's wrong with it, and I don't know what else to do! All I want to do is run GoogleMaps, Pandora and/or Slacker. That's all. Is that REALLY too much to ask?

They should all work fine. Before you go to an OTA link to download the apps, make sure your browser is set to BlackBerry (not IE or FireFox). You wont get the right version of the app otherwise.

If it's still not working (after making sure your browser is correctly set), then specifically, what happens when you try to use GoogleMaps?
