Default Vlingo won't supply registration key after I paid for Vlingo Plus

I am looking for some help / advice from Crackberry members. I purchased Vlingo Plus off of App World on Friday, taking advantage of the $9.99 sale price. During the download process, I got a message indicating the download had failed. This was after I had put in my Paypal information to complete the purchase of Vlingo Plus. I immediately checked to see if the payment had gone through and it did. I received payment confirmation from Paypal and an order confirmation from Blackberry App World. The problem is the app did not download. I went back to app world and downloaded the trial version of the app assuming I would be able to get Blackberry or Vlingo to either provide me with a registration key, or a link to download a fully activated Vlingo Plus app. Sadly, I was wrong. After dozens of emails to Vlingo and Blackberry, I still can not get Vlingo to send me a registration key, even after they asked me to send them my proof of purchase and PIN (which I did). Vlingo has emailed me and said they do not require registration codes. I took screen captures of the application asking me to input my registration code and emailed it back to them.... no response. I am completely amazed it is proving to be this difficult to get Vlingo to assist me in getting the application I paid for downloaded and installed on my phone. If any of you folks have any suggestions on how to move this forward, I would greatly appreciate it. I would also suggest buyer beware when dealing with Vlingo, as they do not seem to be too concerned about resolving issues for paying customers. At this point, I pretty much feel like Vlingo and App World have stolen $9.99 from me. Thanks for any help / advice!

I also have Vlingo Plus, I myself have never seen a license of any type. Your pin sits in they're database and all of your info is linked to that. I say keep sending your emails until you get some sort of answers.

I put in two more email requests for support. One yesterday and one today. Still no reply.

I can understand your frustration. Its actually odd that I can take it off the phone and put it back on without entering any info and it knows that its supposed to be the Plus version.

I imagine your download completed properly during the purchase process, which probably allowed it to complete the purchase and registration with your phone. My download failed, but the purchase completed. So, incomplete download equals unusable product. Which would be fine if only Vlingo would make it right!

It checks the pin when it loads. No reg# necessary.

I would think they should be able to add my PIN to the registered user database then. I have already emailed them my PIN and proof of purchase on Saturday. Vlingo still says checking license when I launch it and says I need to either purchase it (which I have already done), or "Activate" it by entering my registration code...

I downloaded Vlingo at the special price from App World and it does not require a registration number. Have you tried downloading it from the Vlingo website instead of through App World?

I had a similar experience. I purchased the Plus version from App World during the sale, and the download also failed. However, I got a message that said go to the "My World" portion of App world in order to re-download it.
When I did this, I got a message saying that no key was required.
So I would suggest removing the trial version, and checking in the "My World" section and see if you have a listing for it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I removed the trial version and restarted the phone. I went to "My World" and Vlingo was in there as an "archived" application. When I select it, it directs me to the Vlingo Plus app download screen where my options are to purchase it or reinstall the trial version. Unfortunately, I never got a message directing me to go to "My World" to re-download after the initial failure.

I have also gone to the Vlingo site and downloaded it, but still have the same problem.

I'm so sick an frustrated with this same thing, I could just scream. In my case, I had downloaded it and used it just fine on my Storm 1. When I bought my Storm 2, they would not let me transfer the license. OK...so I go to App World to get it because it's on sale for $9.99. Nope...I get this error when trying to sign into paypal...over and over and over again. Emails to Vlingo support direct me to App World support, which we know is non-existent.

I give up on getting it from App World, and go to the Vlingo website to get it at $17.99. It directs me to and Handango web site for payment and the payment goes through. Not happy about having to pay 45% more for the product, after having already purchased it once for another device (they should at least allow one transfer). The registration doesn't work because I accidentally transposed 2 digits of my PIN. My fault...fair enough.

2 days later...no response to my inquiries to Handango. Purchased a product I cannot use. I'm not a happy customer.

Default Won't activate on my switch to Storm 2

I upgraded to a Storm 2 from the Storm 1 a month ago, and Vlingo will NOT activate on my new phone. It's driving me nuts.

I downloaded it from the App Store while logged in. It said I don't need a registration code, I just had to speak to activate it. It downloads fine, but it doesn't recognize me as a "Plus" version...just a trial.

I've emailed Vlingo countless times...I've Tweeted them and they always respond with the same canned response that doesn't work. I emailed BB support and they STILL haven't responded. I am really frustrated and dismayed with the lack of customer service from Vlingo.

$18 is a high price to pay for this app, and I appreciate it's value when it actually works. How can I get it over to my Storm 2? I've had no problems with any other apps transferring.

Help please...I have been searching the forums and I haven't found a fix yet.

Thanks!
