    Default Thoughts on Instango?

    Looking for an IM application.

I mainly use AIM and really really really really really dislike the stock AIM application on the Storm. I mean, seriously, I can't even read other people's away messages without messaging them?

The fact that Instango links Gtalk in as well is just icing on the cake for me.

What are your thoughts on the program? I was wondering if I was missing another even better option?

I heard about BeeJive recently but I wasn't sure if it was on the Storm. (Also not loving the fact that it costs money and drains battery life by the gallon too)

So far Beejive has been crap. It was a battery killer and well my free trial expired so I don't know if they fixed it or not. On the other hand I can't justify paying 30 bucks for an IM app.

Instango has been getting better with every release. The latest release (2.2.85) is done really well. Battery drainage is about normal for an IM client and the laggy flick scrolling has been fixed. All in all it is probably the best option especially since it is the only free multi-im app that is available.

I like Instango when I need to hop on AIM. Doesn't disconnect you for being idle like the RIM aim client does.

ebuddy is another free mulit-im app. I use it for facebook chat.

Just had some timeout issues and inaccurate buddy list updating after using instango for one evening.

    Anyone with similar issues?

Thanks for the link. I was beginning to wonder if there was going to be an all in one client that worked.
