Default Bluetooth!

Please oh please release bluetooth tethering! That'd be worth $50 right there!

Which provider are you using? Can you make sure you have the proper APN settings?

I think I'm going to go buy a BlueTooth dongle so I can work on this today. If it shows up as a COM port on the windows side, I basically already have the code that will work with it since I made my simulator work through a COM port.

Running Vista Basic, 32 bit, Verizon Storm.
The orignal program worked if I ran it as the admin. Once I disconnected I had to reboot my laptop to make it work again.
Now with the update, nothing. The laptop and storm are connected but no connection to the internet. I tried right-clicking and running as admin. Tried rebooting several times. Left clicked. Nothing. Also, This time it does not show up as a network. Uninstalled and reinstalled on both the laptop and storm.
Love the program. What am I doing wrong?

Jappadod wanted me to post this:

"I'm in meetings most of the day so I probably won't be available for support.

Also I bought a bluetooth dongle this morning. If it shows up as a com
port then I basically already have the code."

Thank god! I ran it on my Vista X64 with little to no issue (could not access Gmail for some reason). The speeds were what I expect from Verizon 800-900 down and 200-300 up so I was happy. Then after 45 min of use and testing I went ahead and started to fill out the survey and was boggled. You certainly have made a nice app that is easy to use and does what is intended which I applaud you for.

The thought of paying a month fee for a application was a shocker, I'm currently paying Verizon for my voice/data service. The initial question of a one time fee seemed over the top as well as to the figure that was mentioned.

The phones I have used before only required a simple service programming edit to enable tethering on Verizon in both Bluetooth or USB with no initial fee or monthly subscription fee so perhaps I'm just a bit biased.

I do see the value of paying a reasonable price for the convienience of your app though. With this being my first BB I'm unsure what other options might be available to me if I needed tethering as I have not explored it yet.

As far as Verizon charging a monthly fee for the right to tether I find it nonsense and laughable. I'm paying them for an unlimited data plan with a device that is designed with that capability in mind. The audacity of them to turn that feature off and then turn around and try and charge customers for the right to use it is nothing more than giving everyone of us the finger.

The thought of someone selling me a car only to take delivery and find it has no wheels comes to mind. Then the dealer telling me that they certainly offer the wheels for a small monthly fee of $50 a month. Sounds reasonable riiiiight?

Keep up the good work.

This seems be our only bug at the moment. There is a little confusion to us about how we move forward on debugging this issue, since we aren't able to reproduce it. I am hoping jappadod will be able to figure out the issues promptly but he won't be able to look at it until later tonight.

The good news is, this is our only bug! That means our product is almost flawless

I'm no wizzard at this but I think the problem is that the laptop doesn't recognize TetherBerry as a network connection like it did before...
