From what I can tell so far, Google has not released a BB friendly version. Which really stinks, as my friend with a Droid showed me that program, and it blew Starry Night away. From what seems to be happening with other Google related software, it's probably an effort to get sales of the Droid up.
Hopes for the new year....
1) Starry night revives the BB version
2) SkyMap comes out with a BB version.
Ah well....
In the meantime I have been using MicroSky. - 08-26-2010, 11:50 PM #58
Its back in development
If you go to w w w. starry night education.com/ skychart/ skychart.php (no spaces) it says that is it back in development. Its been that way for a few months now as I keep checking back. I love this app so they better get it out soon for all BB devices!!!

Starry Night
I tried the site today and it still has the same "Back in Development" message. I just upgraded to the Storm 2. I had a Droid 2 for a couple of weks, but I couldn't get into it. IMHO, BB kills all when it comes to smart phones, and the Storm 2 is a MAJOR improvement over the Storm. Anyway, I'm thinking of trying MicroSky but i heard it isn't as good as Google Skies or Starry Night.
Anyone know of any other APP for the BB that compares to Starry Night? - 02-18-2011, 02:45 AM #64
For those asking...they pulled it because the lack of a compass in OS 6 and earlier makes it so the Starry Night doesn't track like Night Sky does on Droid so I imagine they are redevloping it along with the new compass that is coming with 6.1 that will make it rock. Just my guess. I saw a lot of people who complained about Starry Night because they had also seen how cool Googles Night Sky was.

Perhaps our Fearless Leader could do an update and find out WTH is with the Blackberry version. Seems they've "heard us" but it's surely been in "development" way too long for it to be a serious project for this company.
I'm sure the average CB member will get a canned response whereas Kevin should do much better
