Default Poynt and Google Maps

I have Poynt set to use Google Maps as the default maps, but whenever I click Map Route using Poynt,BB Maps get used.Is this a bug or am I missing something?

Interesting. I never noticed it before, because I use BBMaps for routing, but I get the same result. "Map Listing" and "Map All" use Google Maps, but "Map Route" uses BBMaps. It's either a bug or the program works that way intentionally. I don't think all three of us are missing the same setting.

If you decide to try it, be sure you have your OS installed on your PC first. BBMaps is not available as an OTA download if you decide you need to reinstall it.

The routing feature is "not supported yet" for Google Maps... I believe that was how someone from Poynt said it. There should be some previous discussions on it (look for the threads about the new version of poynt being released...it should be in them)

Just get the map listing....then when in google maps you can get the route by clicking on the listing

Maybe an extra step but not too much of an inconvenience.....

Same deal with Latitude on Google maps....used to be able to highlight a friend and show them on the map....that doesn't work on the latest version. It will show your location on the map instead.

You have to click the friend to show all their details before show on the map will display their location.....
