You can keep trying to deflect the issue but the fact is that people who will steal $30 worth of services don't have much integrity. What we know about such people is that can't be trusted with anything worth more than $29.99

At least Madoff had a billion dollar threshold.

Again, if you are willing to steal $30 of services from your carrier, why not just use a prirated version of the tetherberry or pdanet to do it? Or is it some sort of "honor among thieves"?
You Know where we can get a pirated copy of PDANet or Tetherberry?? Let us know man A.S.A.P. so we don't spend $30. Oh by the way how many songs do you download without paying for or DVDs do you copy?

64bit version isn't available yet. I have it working using bluetooth dun though. PdaNet -- Use your BlackBerry as a USB Modem

Just download the app to your phone, from PdaNet -- Use your BlackBerry as a USB Modem

Then follow the instructions to set up bluetooth dun.

I'm not sure if they just allow for the bluetooth dun to be free but there has not been a trial period for me, and I have not purchased it. It just works.

I installed pdanet version 1.03 which worked fine except VERY SLOW compared with my previous Treo version. I updated to newest version 1.20 but I can't connect to all websites and links. I went back to version 1.03 and am waiting for a newer version. Anyone having a similar problem (on Vista)?

Default Now that this has been out for a while...

How does this data usage look to VZW? Is it showing all traffic going to one source (eg: Tetherberry proxy), or does it look like normal internet data usage? I like to use the occasional services, but I am not looking to get find for the usage.

Hello, not sure if my post belongs here however here it goes. I am using PDAnet v1.20 on my Storm 9530. It's working flawlessly at my workplace however when I take it home, I can't seem to connect. At home my Storm says that PDAnet is now connected, I see packets flowing however 0 connections, and my laptop says local connection only however the modem properties sees packets flowing as well. My laptop is Vista Ultimate, Blackberry Desktop v 4.7

Any suggestions? thanks.

Michael

Question pdanet for bold 9700

Hey,
I just downloaded pdanet and before it finished...windows said it didn't recognize the driver and that I shouldn't download the driver due to possible threats. Is this download safe?
Thanks,
Joe

I understand how you think, and that's exactly how companies want you to think. Just because there is a service that is created to earn more revenue for a company, doesn't mean you need to take the bait.

Lets say you go to one of your favourite restaurants, and order a meal. You've paid for the entire meal, and if you don't finish this meal, you are entitled to take it home in a take-out bag. Or in other words, I bought a steak, and if I can't finish it, I can damn well choose to give a piece to my daughter, my son or perhaps my wife.

If I purchase a high-speed internet service, I am entitled to use as much data as I want up to the data cap (mine is currently 95gb). I can also connect as many computers, game consoles, and mobile devices as I please. ****, if my friends come over to my home, they can connect to my internet service as well! *gasp

So in that sense, if I purchased 6gb of data on my phone, and I feel like I want to use it to the fullest with other devices, then why the **** not? I am still using a data plan that I purchased, and the service is still streaming through my phone. Putting aside the fact that it makes no difference to the carrier, since your purchased data plan is already accounted for, why pay an extra 30$ a month for a redundant service?

If you have money to burn, send it to a charity, a soup kitchen, your local school fundraiser, your kids college fund, and the list goes on.

You are probably a troll and I probably fell flat on my face for it, but, I'm terribly bored at work, and your comment was fun to read.

Default Suck It

Just because something is illegal does not make it a bad idea. I think centerfield places too much emphasis and faith in mankind instead of his/her intuition or faith. Look at our history alone, do you realize how many things we do today as a society were illegal not so long ago? Owning slaves, women's right to vote, etc. Centerfield, you sound like a little kid who goes into a corner somewhere, bitches about a particular subject, offers no solutions, then for the next 5 minutes tries to reproduce himself. I trust my own morals and values way before I trust the value system of an ISP. You bought the phones, use it as you wish. Enough said.
