Help with 3rd party browser

Hi all.
Just got myself a handmedown BB storm 9530 from my bro in the states (im in Pakistan)

It was driving me nuts that it didn't have wifi. And to top it off i cant find the default RIM browser.. most guides ask for USA sim cards etc, and are kinda time consuming.

So i looked up a ton of info, and decided that i should just get a 3rd party browser (Opera mini had good reviews). then i hit a roadblock.

The info in Options>About say that my BB is v5.0.0.328 (Platform 4.2.0.128)
Opera supports up to 4.7 only.

Help with this.. i dont even know whether this will work, at least my bro did me a favor in contacting Verizon and unlocking it for use here (i can support local network carriers and should be able to browse of their network, i've been doing so on my other phone..

I just really wanted to get apps, ringtones and WALLPAPERS without having to hook up to the pc all the time..
