Is there any way to circumvent the standard text message service on verizon, i pay 10 bucks a month and it seems pretty stupid considering i could have a billion emails at no extra charge. I want to know if there is a program/service/trick where i can send/recieve texts without it registering as a sms text through verizon. And no, bb messenger is not an option for me because most of my friends do not have blackberries...yet.
EDIT: Should have put a question mark in the title so as not to confuse, my bad |

This also works well if you would care to text, or MMS from your home or office computer, and not have to type on the little phone keyboard.
