Default eReader - Really Slow Loading Books

I've been trying to use eReader on my Storm and it is extremely slow loading books. It is particularly annoying because, until the entire book loads, you can't use the table of contents to jump to parts in the book that haven't loaded yet.

Anyone having this same problem? I've tried iSilo and Mobipocket too. iSilo is a nice product but the registration price bothers me a little. I wish Mobipocket would fix all of the problems it has on the Storm. Anyway, I figured it was worth checking. Gracie.

Barnes and Noble owns eReader so I would think the apps are basically the same.
Tysonsnow, do you mean the first time that you open a book? It paginates, which basically goes through and numbers the pages to account for font and screen size. Each time you open the book after that, unless you change from portrait to landscape mode, should open up with no hesitation.

You are right but having used both the old ver and the B&N ver, the B&N is much faster. In fact if I remember correctly ereader you almost have to wait for paginating to finish before you can begin reading and B&N you can start reading before.

That is correct about needing to finish paginating before you can begin reading on eReader. I have wondered if you can read eReader purchased books on the B&N app.

I'll have to check and see. I've been comparing different readers and maybe I haven't given eReader enough time to paginate the new books. I'll report back so that this exercise (and your responses -- thanks!) can help others.

I'm also going to give the BN eReader a try to see if there is any difference from the eReader version that I already have installed. Thanks for the tip. Much appreciated.
