Calendar View Application Suggestion

Hey all,
I come from the Treo line switching over to blackberry. The one big difference I see with this Storm is that on my Treo my days schedule was always on the main screen. With the storm I have to actually go into the calendar to see what is scheduled. I'm sure there is an app for making the calendar or at least some appointments visable on the main screen. Any suggestions before I go blowing tons of $ on different apps?

I would take a look at themes. There are a lot of themes (rather than apps) that will put calendar information on your home screen.
