Apart from not being worth the money, what's wrong with it?

Am I the only person not impressed? First test the phone kept vibrating even after hanging up the phone. Had to go I to phone app again for it to stop. Next 3 tests seemed to delay the vibe by half of its original offset, if at all. On last official verizon os...

There has been a lot of bugs fixed since .75/.78, I can't say if that is an issue in this case or not, however all testing on the 9500 here (not 9530, again not sure if this makes a diff or not) it works as it should.

I specifically put in a 30 second limitation as a fail safe, so if it kept going past 30 seconds something unforseen has occurred and that needs to be addressed some how.

Is anyone else still running .75 on a 9530 and can confirm one way or the other if the app works as intended, as it may be some other application interfering with it you are running also.

So does the app delay the vibe to match the ringing, or cause the ring to start sooner?

I thought about that, but they aren't time critical like calls, so you can do ring+vib the BB way for the same effect, the biggest problem with the BB is missing calls because you can't hear it, or if you have vib turned on it delays the ring and you can end up missing the call that way too.

One of the goals is to keep this app simple/quick/small.

They're technically independent of each other, I can't comment on how the phone app works exactly as I have no idea, but when the phone sends this app a notification about a new call it will start the vibration alert.

I'm guessing if there is a number of apps listening for phone activity it could cause things to slow down, especially on some of the carrier blessed versions of the OS, RIM has really done wonders as it's progressed. Pity about the splash screen of death though.

Great job man. To me this is a must have app. This is definitely something that should be standard with the phone. Thanks!

Actually I've been thinking about the vibration alert issue and I think the best solution is setting a start/stop time when vib alert will be enabled or disabled, or always enabled I guess.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

I know a listener can be setup for SMS, I'm not sure one can be setup for email however.
