Default AM/FM radio on storm

I've done a search and can't find anything. Maybe its not possible.

Wondering if there is an app that allows receiving AM/FM radio stations. This would be handy for checking local situations like weather or other emergencies? Maybe it can't be done.

I use Nobex ( Nobex Radio Companion - See what's playing, hear what's playing, get what's playing!). It is also free. iheart radio will give you the stations owned by Clear Channel. There is also Moodio( Welcome to Moodio! | Moodio). Moodio is not an app. You can create your own launchers to radio stations, police/fire freqs., etc.

You might try Nobex Radio Companion.

Wunder Radio has a GPS search feature

If your local radio stations also stream you have a chance to find them.

Good luck.

Moodio is awesome! i listen to AOL radio, NASA-TV, FM radio and HS 101 with it.

www.moodio.fm - free streaming music

There isn't an app for Moodio-you access the BlackBerry internet to stream radio.

iHeart radio doesn't do it. At least not what I'm talking about, tried it already.

Sorry, your suggestion = you fail.

I'll have to look into some of the other suggestions made, Thanks to those that made them without the search = you fail snide comment.

OK, I guess I didn't explain what I was looking for. I am not looking for radio streamed through the internet.

Think old school transistor radio, or the AM/FM radio in your car. The signal is transmitted OTA, no internet is needed to receive the signal.

Perhaps these phones are not capable of this, I thought maybe there would be some way to do this, I can listen to FM radio on my Sansa Fuze, just thought it would be nice have the ability to listen to local radio stations during storms, etc. with my phone since I always have that with me and don't always have the Fuze.

Moodio.fm is by far the best way to do it! It isn't an actual app, but it is a webpage. I use it to listen to local sports when I am away.

There's always one of the Chinese clone models, they apparently do everything except mow your lawn. LOL Anyways, I use Moodio as well, works great. It's a small process to load up your stations, but cake after that.

If you enable WiFi on your 9530, you will also be able to receive AM and FM broadcasts.

Moodio is a streaming radio page. It does not enable your Storm to receive FM radio broadcasts directly, which is what the OP was requesting.

Right, Moodio doesn't allow you to directly tune into AM/FM. i don't know of any way to do that; someone else might. As stated above you can listen to FM radio via Moodio thru the BlackBerry browser. Sorry i don't know of another solution for you.
