if your on a family plan then the primary line is the first that is elig. But if you have multiple lines on seperate plans then its gonna go by ur contract and u will be elig after a year for the upgrade. So you could have multiple lines elig at the year mark.

mines a family and im the primary muahaah even though 4 years ago i wasnt the primary it changed idk how but muaaha i already took my year upgrade

No I'm not eligible for the 1 year upgrade. Got my Curve in January. So I'm only going on 7 months with this current contract.
