upgrade ? with change in Sprint Premier

I am on the $69.99/m plan with Sprint and became eligible for an upgrade on 2/1/11 for $150 off a phone. I was planning on not using the upgrade cause I currently have a BlackBerry 8530 and was gonna wait for them to get better phones

HOWEVER

If come 4/1 im going to lose this upgrade im about to just get another free BB and sell this current one on CL and make a few bucks.

Can you bros help me out!

Is your upgrade a 1 year upgrade or a 2 year upgrade. If it is a 1 year upgrade then yes you will lose it. If it is a 2 year upgrade then you won't lose it.

You'll lose (corrected, woo english language) it after April 1st. Premier is getting divided into Gold and Silver. Gold maintain their yearly upgrade if you're on an $89.99 plan, or $99.99 plan. Silver ($69.99/79.99) get bumped down to upgrading every twenty two months.

If you don't make at least $240 off it you'll lose money cuz of the price increase.

You also have to have clean payment history. We won't be getting premier upgrades for a while, we had some pretty late payments last year.

I was going to lose my upgrade so I emailed Dan@sprint.com to plead my case. The woman I talked to was very helpful and understanding. After a couple emails and phone calls I got my upgrade back.

I just called Sprint today about this subject. I had explained to them that I thought it was unfair that 2 days ago I was eligable for my $150 upgrade but that it was taken away from me due to the new upgrade eligability policy and I would have to wait another year. They connected me with a manager who then gave the upgrade back to me. Only a manager can sign off on this and also they have been getting a lot of complaints about it. I don't mind having to wait 22 months for an upgrade but to have the upgrade taken away when you were already eligable for it is not fair. Good luck!
